Hi there; I'm Alexa, the brains and hands behind Foamy Wader. I am a native of Seattle, living 10 blocks from the beach in a sweet little house with my fella and a carpet full of tiny bits of metal scraps. Fun facts about me: I love karaoke, I compulsively organize and I can peel oranges in a single peel.

Though I have long created art and jewelry in varied mediums I began making gemstone jewelry in 2007. I opened my shop here on Etsy in 2008 and have been a full-time artist and crafter ever since. It seems as though I was destined to be a part of the DIY movement as my last name translates to "by hand".
