Dallas Yarn Bombers

The Dallas Yarn Bombers work hard to keep trees, street signs, and park bench arms cozy. Since 2010, bits of colorful knitting have been popping up all over the city -- check out the Bishop Arts District right now (2/21/12). The DYB'ers aren't too secretive and anyone can play, but the biggest displays take the most planning and cooperation, like the massive yarn bombing of the grounds at Winspear Opera House in the Arts District in downtown Dallas, August 2011. Led by K Witta, the DYB can strike anytime, anywhere.

I've been creative ever since I was little. The best toy ever made was the "Thing Maker". I could play with my Creepy Crawlers and Fun Flowers until I ran out of the goop used to make them!

My mom had me on stage at the age of 5 singing good old Shirley Temple songs. I was in plays and musicals throughout college and adulthood.

As a Military spouse, I've lived in different areas of the US and Germany. I now live in the Dallas Metroplex. read more
