We are an ecofriendly craft co-op shop in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island.  Our co-op consists of seven women, whom each specialize in a different craft genre.  We have a boutique with our handcrafted creations, a supplies store (with >75% of our supplies being vintage, recycled or reclaimed...including lots of $3/yd fabric!), an open public studio, a huge craft book library and a classroom.   read more

Enjoy a long weekend packed with lessons and supervised hands-on practice dyeing fiber and spinning yarn. It’s wonderful workshop for all skill levels. Novice yarn makers will build fundamentals, while experienced students focus on improving and picking up new techniques. The Urban Craft Center is a place of social gathering and craft inspiration for the Santa Monica, Southern California area. We have plenty of room for you to spread out projects and a vast assortment of tools available for use in the studio.
