My work is play, using humor and irreverence as a way to explore and examine the world, to weigh up human behavior and emotion in all their forms, to call things unsparingly by their proper names.

I take my point of departure from the complicated time in which we live. I like to stomp in muddy puddles of cognitive dissonance. I am attracted to questions more than answers. I love old tools and shiny garbage. I’m invested in the possibilities created by slowness. I believe in the high-five.

My art seems to center around a basic theme which is playfulness, fun and toys. Toys are so important to me that I not only makes them, I create with manufactured toys, collect them, and I first started making plush toys when I could not find just what I was looking for to add to my personal collection. I loved the idea of creating my very own toys. read more
