Etsy Shop Suspended! What You Need to Know

In the last two years, my Energy Shop on Etsy has evolved from a hobby into a second income for my family. It’s been a great success, and because it’s an important part of my livelihood I have always been careful to honor Etsy’s terms of use. However, last week and without warning, my shop was suspended by Etsy’s administration.

Etsy has made it easier for seller to connect with their fans and followers right from their shop.  Now sellers have the option to add a Facebook like and Twitter follow button right under their banner.  Setting these buttons up is simple.

This advice is how you cannot just set up your shop and wait.  You must be proactive by constantly improving and smart promotion.

When I first opened my Etsy shop, Acute Designs, it was a hobby.  I made a few things, took a few {not very nice} photos and expected sales.

Etsy sellers have been given a huge opportunity to get their shops on top of the Etsy search.  The old Etsy search was based largely on recency .  By default, a buyer would see the most recently listed or renewed item for that search.   The new Etsy search is based on relevancy.
