Trophy Cupcakes on Unanimous Craft

Husband and wife team Michael Williamson and Jennifer Shea opened their first Trophy Cupcakes shop in February 2007. Since then, Trophy Cupcakes has become one of Seattle's premier dessert destinations.

The business is the brainchild of Jennifer. A long time baker and party maker who was winning 4-H baking competitions before her 9th birthday. Jennifer spent years perfecting her recipes and dreaming of opening a cupcake shop before meeting Michael. Inspired by Jennifer's idea, Michael brought his design and business background into the mix and they began to formulate the vision of what is now Trophy Cupcakes and Party.

Their first locations in the Wallingford Center opened to immediate fan fare. Soon their small shop was selling an amazing amount of cupcakes and receiving rave reviews from food writers and the community alike. The accolates did not go unnoticed and Jennifer was invited to appear on the Martha Stewart show in April of 2008 to bake her chocolate graham cracker with toasted marshmallow cupcake. Since her appearance on Martha, Trophy Cupcakes have adorned the cover of Seattle Magazine, been featured in many local and national magazines and have been featured on multiple television shows. Trophy Cupcakes opened their second and third locations at University Village and the Bravern in Bellevue in the summer of 2009.

Jennifer and Michael attribute their success to their passion for making beautiful, original cupcakes that are equally delicious. They are a little shocked by how quickly Trophy has grown. Over the course of little more than three years their family grew to three stores, more employees than they ever imagined and to top it all off a delightful little boy (Fleetwood)... Life just keeps getting sweeter!
