Kristen Rask is the proud owner of SCHMANCY in downtown Seattle with a mission to provide quirky toys, collectibles and original art work to the world. Kristen started Schmancy in September 2004. Feel free to come and say hello to her anytime. She loves company, except for drunk hobos.Kristen also the founder and curator of Plush You! - an annual exhibit that showcases plush creations from artists all over the globe. The first show was held at Schmancy in downtown Seattle in 2005. Since then, Plush You has grown tremendously. With a recent book from F+W Publications, an enormous list of applicants each year -- Plush You continues to show the world the impressive and boundless possibilities of plush!

The best place in Seattle to get unique gifts
Schmancy is all of a 1/2 block from where I work so that may have something to do with the frequency of my visits. Well, that - and the fact that Kristen, the owner, is really nice and knows lots of stuff about crafts and craft shows and plush. Whenever I need to buy a gift for someone, I just stop into Schmancy and I'm guaranteed that the recipient is gonna love it.
