Maine-grown, hand-dyed yarns available wholesale & retail. In the beginning there were sheep. Three sheep to be exact. Along came lust, and then demand for the yarns they produced. Desire followed, and then a need. Recognition powered the idea and the business grew. It may sound odd, but it is truly how Romney Ridge Farm became Romney Ridge Farm Yarn Co. The base group of three sheep became a large flock of 35. Angora goats soon mingled in the group, and then Angora bunnies inhabited a corner of the barn.A love of fiber arts, creativity, crazy color, and what I consider the “perfect creatures”, fueled the fire to grow into a substantial business. A second side emerged with the purchase of the Maine Wool Pool. An additional line of Artisan yarn was added. What comes next? Keep in touch! Designing, new blends, and new colors are in the future.
