Rocky Ripple Festival
Location
The Rocky Ripple Festival occurs every year in September in the Rocky Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis.
The annual Rocky Ripple “Festival in the Park,” with proceeds going to the Rocky Ripple Parks Endowment Fund, focuses on “the arts.” The event is staged entirely through volunteer efforts from the community. 2010 was the 11th year of the festival and the biggest and best yet.
In 2011, as in years past, musical groups will perform an eclectic assortment of tunes throughout the entire day. The festival features artist exhibitors, including oil, acrylic and water color paintings, sketches, sculpture and pottery, poetry, short stories, custom jewelry, hand made soaps and scents, apparel, candles, wood working and collector magnets.
The brewer’s art is represented by the Broad Ripple Brewpub. The Community Association and Veterans Association provide a variety of grilled offerings and fresh corn on the cob for extremely reasonable prices.
