Northwest College of Art Internship Program and Placement Department

Location

I recently started working as the Placement Representative for Northwest College of Art. I provide internship assistance and part time job placement assistance to current students and two years of job placement assistance to graduates from our program. NCA is a small, private college located in Poulsbo, WA. We are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication with majors in Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography, Interactive Design, Motion Design and Entertainment Art.

Our program requires seniors to complete a 135-hour (typically unpaid) internship within their fields of study. This requirement was established because, as a career school, we believe internships provide a valuable opportunity for students to earn credit while gaining practical work experience, explore career options in a professional setting, and ultimately contribute toward their effort to obtain gainful employment after graduation. In addition to our formal internship program, we encourage students to take on short term internships early in the program in order to build their portfolios and professional experiences. If you have a short term internship project in mind, please let me know and I will share it with NCA students who may be interested.
