I've been holding off on starting an email marketing campaign until the time was right, and that time happened to be yesterday. I have been seeing MailChimp at the top of just about everyone's list as their preferred host company, so a while back, I checked them out.

Now that I'm ready to begin, they are definitely my choice based on usability, popularity, and that damn cute monkey. I just finished taking their Getting Started online webinar (about an hour long), which was a great walk-through. I highly recommend beginning there if this whole shebang, or just MailChimp's specific program, is new to you.

They even offer a great, live Q&A session at the end. Aside from that, they have a .pdf resource library that probably covers every single thing you can come up with. Also? You can start for free, and they just doubled the amount of subscribers you can have and still be on the free plan. Almost makes me like bananas more.

I recommend MailChimp to all of my clients. I used to create email newsletters for a living so I've used plenty of email systems. MailChimp is absolutely in my top three of all time.
