Knitty is the largest, longest-running free knitting magazine on the internet, and we celebrated our Seventh Anniversary in September 2009. Knitty was established in June 2002 and publishes four times a year.

I'm not a huge knitter. More of a start-three-projects-and-maybe-finish-one-three-years-later kinda knitter. A friend referred me to this site a few years ago, and I still subscribe to it regardless of my motivation factor. Every issue has great articles, but my favorite is the free pattern section where you can get your hands dirty testing out new items. A never-ending project jackpot.

This must be a great resource to knitters, though I am not one myself. There is an extensive pattern library which is organized quite well. You can advertise on the site, write for the site, or even have your product reviewed by the site. The blog is quite interesting to knitters and crafters alike, and seems to be updated very frequently.
