IDADA / First Friday
Location
The IDADA First Friday Art Tour is constantly changing and expanding. It is a self-guided tour around the Indianapolis downtown area that is free and open to the public. Most venues open their doors around 6:00pm and close around 9:00pm, or later in some locations. There is no specific start location or end location—people are free to roam to whichever galleries/studios they want to visit! The IDADA First Friday event also includes an After Party, which is in a different location each month.
IDADA, the Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association, is a non-profit membership based organization of studio artists, art galleries and arts-related businesses within the 20 block square of the center of Indianapolis.
The prime focus is the creation and marketing of unique and original art. IDADA’s mission is to: Develop public awareness of the artist and art dealer, Encourage strong continuing community support for the visual arts, and to promote the highest professional standards.
