Forelock ( art + such )

Location

I am an artist, maker and quantum thinker living in Seattle. I make art using rudimentary cutting, pasting, stitching, printing and painting techniques. I earned a Graphic Design degree in 2007 but never found myself comfortable or satisfied with the design world, so I got the heck outta there and started over.

I went to a commercial art school, so naturally I only received about a year of actual art education; the majority of what I do now is self taught. I play with a few different mediums and materials: collage, watercolor, block printing and good ole needle and thread. My work tends to celebrate our ever mind-blowing universe and its inhabitants, from the macro to the micro and the energetic to the material. The universe is perhaps my greatest fascination and attempting to understand and occupy my unique place in it is the catalyst for all my endeavors, creative or otherwise. This blog is a record of my experiments, adventures and progress.
