Etsy Fee Calculator
According to Etsy.com, "Etsy is an online marketplace for buying & selling all things handmade." Since numerous people have e-mailed me and requested it, I decided to make an Etsy Fee Calculator. This free web-based tool can be used to easily calculate Etsy fees (and optionally PayPal fees) for any amount. It also supports multiple quantity listings and has a special field for your "cost of materials". Now you can quickly determine your what your Etsy fees would be and how much profit you can make from selling an item on Etsy.com.
In this calculator I chose to use a simple fixed-width centered layout, dividing the calculator into 3 main sections. I have the main Etsy Fee Calculator on the right, the Reverse Etsy Fee Calculator on the left and below that an editable fee rate box, where you can see and edit your Etsy and PayPal fee rates. I've also included links to Etsy.com and the Etsy fees page in the top right so you can easily jump to those places once you're done using the calculator.
On the right side of the calculator you can enter your Item Price, the amount you charge for Shipping & Handling, your actual Cost Of Postage, and your total Cost Of Materials (if any). Then, as you type, the calculator will find and display your total Etsy and PayPal fees and the total profit you can expect to receive from the sale. If you are selling more than one item, simply enter the number of items you successfully sold in the Items Sold box.
Like some of my other fee calculators, this calculator comes with both a forward and reverse mode. The forward mode allows you to calculate your fees in the normal way, where you tell the calculator what the price of your item is and the calculator tells you what your fees are. The reverse mode instead allows you to enter the amount you want to receive after fees and the calculator can tell you what price you would need to sell your item for or how much to charge for shipping & handling, to receive that amount.
If, for some reason, you don't want to include your Etsy or PayPal fees or you're using another payment processor, you can easily edit or disable either of their respective fee rates in the Edit Fee Rates box as well.
