DIY Alert is your one-stop calendar for craft events, craft classes, and craft groups in Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas. Portland, Oregon has an incredible crafty culture. If you know where to look, you can find a sewing class, craft fair, knitting circle, or beadwork exhibit just about every day of the week.Up until now, the problem has been knowing where to look. To stay on top of the PDX craft culture, you had to be on a dozen email lists, while scanning newspapers and craft-store bulletin boards. We created DIY Alert! to put all crafty events into one place, so that creative people would easily be able to find interesting things to do. We also wanted to help all the crafty businesses, groups, and shows in this city to find all the adoring fans they deserve.
