At Defabricate, we create fun, fabulous, and functional artisan gifts, transforming the traditional into the unconventional (or vice versa). Our turn-ons include: long walks in the rain, dysfunctional embroidery, made-up words like 'unimaginatively,' Airstream trailers, bookmobiles AND book mobiles, spontaneous karaoke, archaic definitions of modern words, design so bad that it is good, Tom Jones. Our turn-offs include: itchy wool, air quotes, the word monetize, made-up people like 'Brangelina,' people who are unimaginatively rude, Pepsi. Nicki is a Capricorn with crazy hair and a design fetish. Tracy is an Aquarius who never colors inside the lines. Defabricate is a collective featuring Nicki and Tracy (who work together on the design and creation of most of the items sold here) and our family members Jo and Ruthie, who collaborate with Nicki on the quilts and baby caps.
