I was born in Pittsburgh, raised just outside, went to school, met my husband, and now raise my kids here, but I've spent some time in Europe, lived in the tropics for a while, and I love to travel. I take most of my inspiration from travel, but a sunny day or a clear night in my home city can provoke my art when the right circumstances align. I was an English major in college, and I am an editor by trade, but I grew up with artists and have always love visual arts. In addition to making glass beads, which I have been doing for almost 15 years now, I also draw and paint. Plus, I occasionally do other forms of glasswork, mostly mosaics.
