Craft Academy

Craft Academy is designed like a miniature art school, but with even more fun classes and a community, too. In addition to spring and fall semesters – and our amazing Summer Lovin’ course – we’ll have Holiday Hits and a Spring Fling! We will also be offering some single day, weekend, and self study classes throughout the year. Renée wanted to make a fun online community where she could teach, share and converse with like minded people. She asked her fellow crafty friends to do video tutorials for her site, so she could practice her filming skills, and to get the sound just right. The second person she filmed was her Twitter friend and fellow Etsy Austin member, AJ. She asked AJ to join her in her quest, and AJ, who had been looking for a way to share her craftiness, instantly agreed! Together they had lengthy meetings, countless email exchanges, and late night calls/texts working out the name, logistics, and logo. With a background in art, design, architecture, business, and craftiness, and powered by their favorite colors, Renée & AJ launched Craft Academy to grow a fun, nurturing, educational, and creative online community.
