Coffee Purse

Location

The idea for Coffee Purse happened while visiting an international coffee roaster. I learned that all un-roasted (green) coffees are shipped from around the world in jute bags with the country of origin and the coffee cooperative printed on the front. Unfortunately, the only people that get to see them are the farmers, the cooperatives, and the coffee roaster. I thought it would be fun to make some purses and handbags out of these interesting materials to share with my barista friends and coffee enthusiasts. I am offering them here on Etsy so I can share my designs with all of you. Coffee Purse is currently retailing at local Seattle coffee shops and cafes, as well as at the University of Washington Burke Museum, at the Coffee: The World In Your Cup exhibit.
