New Orleans is known for its music, Mardi Gras, The French Quarter and Beignets. The Crescent City is also becoming a burgeoning town for crafters and indie crafty biz owners. While many of these crafty artists are born and raised here , there are many more just like myself who have come to the South to take part in the growing indie handmade movement. If the warm winters, laid back attitude of the locals, and a town that has a dress up party every weekend aren't enough, there are regular weekly Art Markets, Craft Fairs, Crafty Meet Ups, and workshops to fill your days with crafty goodness. Whatever your crafty weapon of choice, you're sure to find many ways to use it.
