If you are a crafty gal in the Midwest, you have got to take time to check out the Midwest Craft Caucus. The Midwest Craft Caucus is taking place over in Columbus, OH on June 4 and 5th and, according to their website, it "will feature over 25 panels, presentations and workshops on topics such as: Building a Brand, Utilizing Social Media, The Craft Fair Experience, Careers in Craft, Getting Published, Financial Planning, Working with Retailers, and much more."

Tomorrow at 5pm, the first ever Urban Folk Art Show in Indiana kicks off, and the 30 or so vendors who will be in attendance are really hoping it kicks off with a bang and not a whimper. There's been quite a bit of controversy surrounding the Urban Folk Art Shows name ever since it popped on the scene sometime late last year.

Handmade Promenade melds local Indianapolis businesses with local and independent crafters for regularly occurring events which allow crafters a venue to share their wares with the rest of the city and to bring awareness to local crafters who make their goods by hand, and the locally owned businesses who support them.

This Saturday is National Record Store Day, a day devoted to the celebration of independent record stores across the country. Here in Indianapolis, it also means the one year anniversary of Handmade Promenade at Record Store Day!
