http://www.etsy.com/shop/KweenBeeThis is a partial list of sites that I’ve found that are great to help increase the traffic to your handmade goodies. All of the websites here are free or offer a free trial period which certainly helps for those of us watching the ol’ purse strings!
A few words of advice with these sites; take your time to look around. Some of these sites offer a lot more features and benefits than a simple link back to your handmade item or your online shop. Use all the features that are available to really maximize the usefulness. Even if a site doesn’t look that promising at first glance add yourself to it anyway.
Just because it doesn’t receive a lot of traffic right now doesn’t mean the webmaster doesn’t have an advertising budget coming up in the new year or some other trick up his or her sleeve. Be patient. If it works come back to it. If it doesn’t then move on and use your time somewhere else.
