Frequently Asked Questions
The only way to edit a resource after it has been submitted is to become the owner. If you submitted a listing for something you own, complete this form to claim ownership. Once you are set up as the owner, you will be able to edit the listing.
If you are not the owner of a listing but want me to know that there was an issue with the listing or a change needs to be made, please contact me.
No, please don't. Any submissions that link to an individual item on Etsy (or other online marketplaces) will be deleted.
We use a Bayesian average rating system. Without this weighted rating system, an item with a single five-star vote would be shown as the highest rated. By using Bayesian averages, we ensure that items with multiple votes don't rank lower than items with a single vote. Read more about Bayesian averages.
Funny you should ask. Why yes, yes we do.
Probably. We review everything that is submitted and make sure it is tagged appropriately. If we check the "About" page for a resource and it seems like there is a better description -- we'll use that one.
If you link to all your social networking sites within the description of a resource -- we'll remove it. It gets too confusing to have a bunch of links to other things inside of a resource description. But, if you want a profile on the site that lists all the stuff you do -- try upgrading to a Premium Membership.
Lots of things. It could be a blog that you read often for inspiration. It could be your own Etsy shop. It could be an online store where you found the best crafty doo-hickie or someone who sells super awesome display items for craft shows. Anything you find useful for your small business.
No Way! You can check out the resources other people have uploaded, submit resources you love and curate lists of resources without having a Premium Member account. Premium Members do get special benefits (their profiles are shown on the front page and they receive discounts on additional advertising on the site) but you can still use all of the site features without them.
Look at the file name of your image. Are there spaces in the name? Try saving it with no spaces in the file name and then uploading it again.
Click on the link on the resource that says "I own this resource." We will review your request and send you a form to complete. Then, your account will be upgraded so that you will be able to write the latest news about your resource.
