THE VERA PROJECT AND HOLLOW EARTH RADIO PRESENT: THE 2ND ANNUAL DIY HOLIDAY FAIR! A Free Benefit Fair on December 11, 2010 featuring Northwest Labels, Crafters, Local Record Dealers, Artists & Zinemakers.
Seattle, WA - The Vera Project, Seattle’s non-profit, all-ages music and arts venue, and Hollow Earth Radio, Seattle’s premier free-form online radio station, are joining forces for a holiday extravaganza. The Vera Project’s venue will become a marketplace for independent music and crafts, along with live music and interactive silk-screening. All proceeds help support local music and art at Hollow Earth Radio and the Vera Project.
The DIY marketplace will feature independent Northwest record and cassette labels, musicians, silk-screened show posters, vintage record dealers, local artists, craft-makers, and designers selling their wares throughout Vera’s venue. This is the perfect opportunity to find a one-of-a-kind gift just in time for the holidays. The event will also include live musical performances by Northwest musicians, Hollow Earth DJs spinning on site, a bake sale, and a raffle for rare posters, records and more! Vera's silkscreen studio will be open for interactive printing of designs by ten local artists.
For just $5 a print, Vera silkscreen instructors will help attendees print one of the logos on any fabric item they bring; blank shirts will also be available for purchase. Repeat screeners are welcome and encouraged! Interested designers and vendors should contact diyholidayfair@gmail.com or (206) 956-8372 for more information.
