While the year is still very young, and before you plan to blow away any previous online sales goals and fair goals, why not take a minute to re-evaluate your cost of goods sold and make sure you aren’t losing money on every sale you make?

Here are a few reasons to re-evaluate your cost of goods sold at the start of the year:

*You will be able to set a more accurate yearly budget
*Even if you have figured it before, the cost of your materials
may have risen over the last year
*You might deserve a raise!

When I created an Etsy treasury called "Out of This World Gift Ideas for the Spaceman in Your Life", I included a Doctor Who magnet set that featured more than 400 words synonymous with the show.

The listing disappeared soon after but not because it had sold or expired. Turns out the seller had been given a take down notice, apparently in response to a request from the BBC that all Doctor Who items be removed.
