The most popular yarn shop in Indianapolis is is probably Mass Ave Knit Shop located (surprise!) downtown on Virginia Ave in Fountain Square! They have lots of lovely yarn and knitting and crochet tools available.

Knit Stop is located on the north east side of Indianapolis in the Castleton area of shops. They are a luxury yarn boutique that offers classes in both knitting and crochet. 

Broad Ripple Knits is located in the heart of one Indianapolis's most popular destinations, the village of Broad Ripple. They offer a wide variety of yarns as well as classes in knitting. 

Located near Indianapolis:

The Village Yarn Shop is located just on the edge of north west Indianapolis in Zionsville. They are a brand new shop and offer yarns from all around the world as well as a large selection of needles and hooks from the most popular brands like Skacel, Clover, Chiao Goo and Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needles. 

Stitches and Scones is located due north of Indianapolis in the town of Westfield. This unique shop offers a large variety of knitting, crochet and spinning tools and classes as well as free coffee, tea and scones! 

Sheep Street Fibers is located about 30 minutes out side of Indianapolis near Morgantown. What makes Sheep Street Fibers unique is that it is on an actual 20 acre sheep farm! They raise and sell registered Shetland Sheep as well as the fibers and yarn from the sheep's wool.
