One crafty reason not to be a shut-in this winter
If you live in Toronto, you know that there is very little quite so tempting in the winter months as hiding away indoors - particularly for us crafters, who get to squirrel away with our work! However it can also become a little bit isolating and cut off (hello, cabin fever!) If you happen to be a creative person in business bundle up, because there's a wonderfully cozy, networking building, resource sharing, nice-time having reason to go outside!
The Toronto Creative Women in Business Collective is a meet-up group for anyone who sells what she (or he) makes by hand (like soap makers, bakers, jewellery and clothing designers, painters and illustrators, knitters and potters, fiber artists etc). The group meets once a month to talk about things like shows, building our websites, navigating art craft and business and generally compare notes and help each other, and it usually happens in local cafes and studios. Meet-up (and this group) is free to join.
